Qualified Crankshaft Grinding Services in Edmonton

At The Weldangrind Group, our crankshaft grinding department in Edmonton can handle crankshafts up to 108" in length with an 8" stroke. All crankshafts will undergo a thorough cleaning in our hot tank and then Magnafluxed for any surface cracks. Your crankshaft will then be measured, checked for straightness, flex, and Rockwell tested for hardness before being compared to OEM specifications.

It is our philosophy at The Weldangrind Group to never grind a crankshaft that can be brought back within OEM specification with merely a polish; grinding your crankshaft will always be our last resort. "Why take a life from a crankshaft unnecessarily?" This is a statement that we constantly make and live by.

All crankshafts that are ground or polished will include a final polish to the mains and throws, all seal areas and the gear unless otherwise specified. In addition to the quality services our customers have come to depend on, we have added spray welding to our services offered. 

Spray welding is a relatively low heat type of repair with no distortion. This makes it an ideal repair method for numerous applications, such as:
